The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam was established in 2015 in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode with funding from central government, state government and industry partners. The institute granted the status of "Institute of National Importance" to the Government of India.

• Fee structure: INR 5.4 Lakh ( Total fees)
• It is the latest IIIT College, which was founded in 2015, and this College is in PPP mode.
• The college had only one pass out of the batch with a strength of 30 students.
• The highest salary package offered was INR11.5 LPA and average salary package was offered was INR 3.5-4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are IBM, TCS, JIO, and many more.
• Students should have good command on programming languages.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu was founded by Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India in 2007. It's one of the two IITDMs, the other is the IITDM Jabalpur.

• Fee structure: INR 5.25 lakh ( Total fees)
• The highest salary package for CSE students ( off campus) is INR 65 LPA, the highest salary package is INR 14 LPA (on-campus).
• The average salary package is INR 8 LPA.
• Saint Gobain, L&T, Daimler, HCL, Infosys are the top recruiting companies.
• Manager and Project Manager are top roles offered.

You may go for IIIT Kottayam if you want to have a good programming skills. Curriculum wise IIIT Kottayam follows that of IIIT Hyderabad which is best in India.

2019 was the first year when IIIT Kottayam saw its first placement. Institute had good companies coming forward to recruit them. Some of them where NISSAN ,L&T, Reliance(JIO) and many more startups.

Anyway, it all ends up at what you really want and how bad you want it, are you willing to put the effort given any circumstances. After college, your rank doesn’t define you as much as your skills and your attitude!
