IIIT Kanchipuram CSE IS BETTER OR IIIT LUCKNOW CS -AI IS BETTER

IIITDM Kancheepuram was established in the year 2007 as one of the institutes of national importance. It has a great campus, well-qualified and experienced faculty and campus life is good too.

IIITDM Kancheepuram's B. Tech Computer Engineering curriculum is modelled on the recommendations by ACM (Association of Computer Machinery) and is the first of its kind engineering program offered in India. This program is aimed at producing engineers equipped with all required skills. The institute also has the most advanced laboratories for CSE students and also provides internship opportunities. Placements are good with an average package of 7-8 LPA by companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, PayPal etc.

IIIT Lucknow is currently operating from its temporary campus at IIIT Allahabad and the new campus will come up at IT City, Lucknow, which may take a few more years to be ready. The B.Tech.(CS-AI) course has been designed to prepare an aspirant engineer to understand and solve core problems such as operating system design, software development along with next-gen AI technologies like machine learning, neural networks, deep learning and so on. This is a new course at this institute and also has a bright future. Placements are excellent here for CSE students, with 100% record and average salary package of Rs 17.5 lakhs per annum by companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs and many more.

If you want to go for the conventional CSE course, you can go for IIITDM Kancheepuram. However, I suggest IIIT Lucknow as the best pick among the two, since the CSE-AI course has great prospects for the future and the placements here are great as well.

Both the courses and institutes are great so it really depends on which course interests you the most. If you are interested in placements and faculty then I can give you a short idea but the rest is up to you.

IIIT Kanchipuram CSE- It was ranked 66 for engineering by JEE Cutoff 2019. Around 80% of the students get placed with the highest salary being 9 or 10 lkh per annum and ana verage salary of 5 lakh per annum in companies like  Trimble, Zoho, Scientific Games, Information View, L&T, TCS, etc. The faculty is excellent ( PhD holders from IITs and foreign institutes).

IIIT Lucknow CS-AI -It was ranked 61 for engineering by JEE Cutoff 2019. The placements are almost a 100% with an average package of 11.5 LPA, and highest package being 18.5 LPA. The companies that come here for placements include   Direct, Acko, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Goldman Sachs, Expedia, Paytm, HashedIn, Tata and many more. Without any doubt, the education here is at par with NITs with all th efaculty having  a PhD.
