Iilm Gurgaon provide mba degree or pgdm??
PGDM is Post Graduate Diploma in Management, the confusion starts when you see the term Diploma. Many students are of the view that it is a Diploma course and not a Degree; you are right to an extent that it is a Diploma. The main reason why postgraduate courses are named as PGDM is because when an Institute is an autonomous body i.e it is not affiliated to any University and conducts management courses then such Institutes cannot offer MBA degree.
When an Institute secures autonomy they design their own curriculum to be taught instead of following outdated University syllabus. The reason why they chose to do is because the curriculum can be updated regularly depending on the need in Industry. Hence ,one can say that PGDM courses are more industry relevant as compared to MBA courses.
IILM university,Gurgaon provides AICTE and AIU approved courses providing PGDM as well as MBA.An MBA will help in developing technical skills and business knowledge whereas a PGDM will prepare graduates for senior level positions in industry and paves the way for a strong corporate career. Hence, if you’re looking for a career in the challenging area of management, you should go for PGDM or MBA.
Hey
IILM Gurugram, being a university now provides both full time PGDM and MBA programme. Its upto the student which programme he/she wants to choose. Curriculum and criteria for both remain same.
Aspirants need to fulfill following eligibility criteria:
1. Degree (10+2+3 or 4) in any discipline from universities and institutions recognized by AICTE/ UGC/ AIU (Students appearing in their final year can also apply) with minimum 50 % marks.
2.Candidates can apply based on their scores in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT / ATMA scores.
3.Work experience, additional educational qualification will get extra weightage.
4. Those who have appeared for their final year graduation examinations in the current year may also apply for admission to Post Graduate program.
Hope that helps.
Best of luck !
Hi Nitish,
IILM offers a full time 2-years Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme and not a full fledged 2-year MBA degree. It has only 120 seats each year and the application process includes an online application followed by an interview, only if you are short-listed.
I hope this was helpful. For any more information, kindly continue the conversation.
