HEY THERE,
IIMs ARE ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS INSTITUTES IN TH WHOLE COUNTRY. THEY ARE WELL KNOWN FOR THEIR BRAND VALUE AND HIGHLY EQUIPPED STAFF. SINCE THE DEMAND FOR THE ADMIISIION IS SO VAST THAT THE SEATS ARE VERY LIMITED HENCE GETTING IN ISNT A SLICE OF CAKE.
the cut off process usually depends upon the respective body i.e some may have slightly higher cut-off than other. for eg usually IIM ABC i.e OG IIMS tend to have a significantly greater cut-off than baby IIMS

Hey
The cut off for MBA in finance is different for all the IIMs. For most of them it is mainly more than 90 percentile. The old IIMs have relatively more higher cut off than the new IIMs. After the CAT exam there are other rounds WAT (written ability test), group disscussion and interview round.
