Hello Aspirant,
IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology), situated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala is a deemed university for research and education in the field of Space Science.
Courses Offered : In the field of space study, IIST offers UG(Under-graduate) and PG(Post Graduate) courses like B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics Engineering, and Engineering Physics. Also, it offers B.Tech + M.S/M.Tech (Dual Course), PH.D in Philosophy, and M.Tech in Control Systems.
Eligibility Criteria : To be eligible for a B.Tech degree in IIST, one must have passed Class 12 with minimum aggregate 75%. Also, one must have a valid score in JEE Advanced (2019 cut-off mentioned below).
1. General Category : 20% score on an average in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum of 5% score in each of the individual subjects.
2. OBC Category - 18% score on an average in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum of 4.5% score in each of the individual subjects.
3. Physically Disabled Category : 10% score on an average in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum of 2.5% score in each of the individual subjects.
Placements : Placement records of IIST has been remarkable very year. As we see of 2019; for example, 125 students of B.Tech were placed in companies like MathWorks, TCS, Wipro, ISRO, Adobe Systems, and many more. Their Cost To Company (CTC) was 6.3 lacs per annum and 9 lacs as median salary.
Ranking : By NIRF 2020(National Institutional Ranking Framework ), IIST is ranked on number 33 for engineering courses.
Also, talking about the dates of JEE Advanced 2020, it is supposed to be on 23 August, 2020.
