Both the courses in IIT Bombay college are good but comparitively chemical engineering has more placements ratings.

Placements: More number of the students from this college got placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges between 5-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies visit this campus.

Infrastructure: The campus of our college is full of greenery and amazing. Wi-Fi available everywhere on the college campus. A vast collection of books is found In the library. Hostels are very good all the facility are available in hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and so much qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. They give practical knowledge as well as subjective knowledge. They make all the student industry ready.

You can choose any one Chem or metallurgy doesn't matter It depends on your interest.

If you want choose a career in Engineering background they're many opportunities to build good career as engineering field.Because if your a studying one of the best institutios in india obviously will do better in future .

So anyone of stream is good .nothing is waste.all
branches have bright future. I m not sure to say choose for metallurgy or don't go for chemical it's not like that n its doesnt matter for me .any branch are so much good but people's will prefer vast in choosing metallurgy as compared Chemical.

Hey there hope you're doing well.
One major factor in deciding which branch is better is by looking into it's cutoff rank . The cutoff rank for chemical engineering at IIT BOMBAY is around 1.7k whereas for mettalurgy it is nearly 3k. Therefore it can be predicted that chemical at IIT BOMBAY is more preferred.  In fact placements in these branch is also good.
