Both the colleges are similar to much of the extent. If you are keen interested in CSE then go to IIT jodhpur without thinking much but if you are just following the trend of CSE then dontd opt this field as there are many branches which also have good scopes in India.

Placement scenario in IIT JODHPUR had been quite satisfactory in recent years. Placement is a very large area to cover but i would try to answer your question as brief as possible.

The most important thing and the one which is never shown in any website etc about placement is **Job Satisfaction . **What is the use of a job if you are going to Leave it in a few months.you will find that i**n many other colleges students of cse get placed in high salary but leave job within a year without having any better offer from other companies . **The reason behind this is they don't see themselves learning anything new or personal development. In IIT jodhpur scene is quite different. Though the package is a little lesser than some iits , the students getting placed like their jobs and many of them find their batch mates and seniors in the same company making them feel comfortable to learn and having conversations.

Cse Department is also keen on collaboration with industry and academia. At present, projects are going on with All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Jodhpur, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.

Moreover, department is in close contact with industry leaders like** Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Morgan Stanley , DIRECTI ,DeShaw , Google for** academics and research collaboration. In near future, the department is also planning to move towards outcome based education (OBE) along with a strong industry-academia partnership. The department is steadily striving towards excellence in both academics and research with active participation from faculty, staff and students.

IIT Dhanbad CS is better. First of all, it's older. preferring an older college is better.

The alumni list of Dhanbad is very impressive who are very much helpful. In terms of placement and facilities, IIT Dhanbad CS is much better than IIT Jodhpur. The faculty is also good who always helps. The campus life of students is very much interesting. Various internship opportunities and extracurricular activities are there to participate.
