Hi Abhishek,

The best book for Thermodynamic is "Engineering Thermodynamics by P.K. Nag", published by Mc Graw Hills.

If you wanted to study thermodynamics for your 1st semester engineering exams, this book would be best for you as it's language is too simple to easily understand each and every topic clearly with enough numericals to practice.

Hope it helps..!!

Good Luck

Hey Abhishek,

Congratulations on Getting into IIT. For thermodynamics Your Teachers notes are enough to study and excel. There is no prescribed book but you can use PK NAG thermodynamics.and 1st semester is the easiest among other sems. To score so focus on you 1st semester as things are new so it'll take time to adjust. Best of luck
