both are good but as latest trends and placement results signifies that CSE could be a better option but IIT has its own reputation over NIT so electrical would also be worth

IIT always has an upper hand when compared with nit. It doesn't matter if you get a lower branch in iit than in nit, iit is better. Talking about package, iits are the first approach of all MNCs and other companies. Moreover, faculty and prestige is also higher. One good example of this is Sundar Pichai who opted for metallurgy branch in iit bombay.

In my opinion, electrical at iit is better than cs in nit unless you have more inclination towards cs.
