see actually iits considered the best institute for engineering in India , so none of the private college or state government colleges can compare with iits, iits provides the quality education, infrastructure, excellent faculty, best student faculty ratio, industry exposure. if you can not get admission in iits, next option is nits and IIITS, top nits like nit trichy, nit rourkela, nitwarrangal, nit suratkhel, nit calicut considered best other than new iits. now it also depends on the stream of engineering you would choose and placement policy of the college.
