Exemption of examination of class 12th result by IIT and NIT is one time applicable, this thing is still not decided they are expected to switch on the previous concept but this is not confirm yet, even if you are 2020 passed out (class 12th) then exactly you would have same benefits after your drop year, because your covid-19 promotion marksheet designate same promotion concept for you too.
Best of luck.
Hello aspirant.
I think in 2021 if the corona pandemic situation is ceased and the 12 th standard exam irrespective of all boards is done normally, then IITs may apply their previous eligibility criteria of a score 75 per cent or above in Class 12 and should be in the top 20 percentile. This is for general category students. While the reserved category students, including scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, are required to score at least 65 per cent marks in Class 12.
But in this year IITs are planning to change the admission criteria for the academic session 2020-2021 as the coronavirus pandemic has caused major disruption in the evaluation of Class 12 students. They are considering removing Class 12 performance as a deciding factor in admission for the next academic year. This will be applied for 2020-21 academic session.
Hope this will help you.
