Hello Priyanka,

Yes , you can pursue BCA , You need not have a science background . A Commerce and arts students can also join this course.

The Bachelors in computer Application (BCA) is 3 year undergraduate course that focus on knowledge on the basic of computer applications and software development.

Eligibility criteria- class 12th passed with minimum 55% marks

Admission Process - both merit as well as Entrance based.

BCA jobs -Software Developer, Technical Analyst, system Administrators , tech support and others.

Average starting salary - INR 2-8 lakhs

  • Entrance examination - Management Aptitude test (BU MAT)
  • Indraprastha University common Entrance Test (IPU CET)
  • AIMA UGAT
  • Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET)

Hello,

the basic eligibility criteria for BCA is:

1. Candidates who wish to take admission in Bachelor of Computer Applications program must have completed 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board.

2. The minimum age limit of the candidate should be 17 years.

3. The BCA eligibility varies depending upon various colleges and universities.

Hello,

You can opt for BCA after completion of 12th Arts  Science and Commerce stream.

The course is mainly designed to meet the growing demand of qualified professionals in the field of IT.

According to popular universities, it is mandatory that a candidate should have Maths and computer Science in their 12th Standard. Maths and Computer are not compulsory subjects for BCA. But some universities also provide admission to arts students.

Average salary package for BCA graduates is INR 3-6 LPA in the private sector and INR 15,000 - 35,000 per month in the government sector.
