You can appear for Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) if you fulfill the following eligibility criteria to join in Indian Army
- You must have passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised board.
- The age must be in between 19- 24 years for Indian Military Academy and for Officers Training Academy the age must be in between 19-25 years
If you fulfill the eligibility criteria you can appear for CDSE conducted by UPSC. The entrance examination is conducted twice in a year. If you qualify in written examination you will get a call for SSB interview if you clear the interview you will have to undergo Medical Examination. If you clear it and make it till the merit list you will have to undergo training. On sucessful completion of training you will be commissioned as lieutenant.
