If you cgpa is quite less i.e below 6 then there is a problem, considering general category. If you have less than 6 cgpa then even after qualifying GATE exam you won't be able to get NIT' and most of the IIT's.

One option is there, you can write CAT exam and after clearing the exam you can apply for FMS Delhi as top IIM's is no brainier being a less CGPa student.

Basically FMS don't give that much priority to your previous academics so there is a chance.

If you can't improve your score, you can get into other courses such as Diploma in the field of your interest, or even other stream courses such as MBA, preparing for civil services, or entrepreneurship etc.,
