I'm a foreign medical graduate and preparing for screeing test (dec. session). Is it a good idea to prepare by myself with notes I made during mbbs plus textbooks and not via any online coaching or pdf notes they provide?

see I suggest you thoroughly check the previous years questions papers , if you find questions are common as per your knowledge and notes they it will be enough to prepare for the exam by yourself, however if you feel that the notes are not enough to get a decent score in the screening test then you should go for online or offline coaching.
