Hello aspirant ...
Cutoff for admission in DU varies from college to college. There are almost 90 colleges affiliated to DU.Basically Delhi University has two campus north and south and north campus include best colleges. These have high cutoffs. For getting admission in these you have to score more percentage in 12th.Percentage of top four subjects is considered one language and three core subjects .If you score 97percent in12th then you can get very popular colleges.
Hope it helps you
All the best.

Hey,
To be honest, pursuing English Honours from University of Delhi can be the best experience of your life. This discipline changes you like nothing else.It shapes up your perspective and help you evolve as a human.
First of all you need to understand the concept of "Best of four" subjects. It basically includes one language(Core,Elective,Functional),One subject in which admission is sought otherwise 2.5 per cent would be deducted. The other two subjects included must be treated as Academic/Elective subjects.
And the best part about pursuing BA Honours in English is that there will be no deduction of 2.5 per cent unlike other BA courses as it is a rule of DU that if you change your stream in undergraduation 2.5% will be deducted from the best four percentage.
See,if you want to get into the best colleges of DU for English Honours then be prepared to come with really high scores as cutoffs may even go as high as 98% to 99%.For Hindu it was 98% for Unreserved this time. For St.Stephens also it was almost the same.
You need to score above 96.5% or so for getting admission in the first cutoffitself.Though DU declares around six to seven cutoffs but the admission of English Honours generally gets closed by the second cutoff given the demand of this subjet.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
