Most of the central universities take admission based on entrance test. You can be an average student but your preparation must not be average. You must give your 100% during the preparation for any entrance exam and then you can get admission in any Central university based on your interest. You just have to put hard work in right direction and that is all what it takes.

Yes ,you can get a seat in government colleges even if you are an average student.

Firstly you have not mentioned the course in computer science.

Taking for example whether its BSc Computer Science or BTech Computer Science.

Let me explain you further for both the courses you need atleast 50% or more in class 12 results and then you should have PCB/ PCM as your main subjects.

Now for BSc the admission process will differ from one college to another one. Some will give you direct admission while some will have entrance exams.

Now for pursuing BTech there are two ways

• First you can give Jee Mains then qualify. Jee is acceptable is almost all Engineering Colleges in the country.
• Next option that is the longer one first purse Diploma in computer science and then give lateral entry exam and off you go to second year of the course.
