Dear user,
First of all, stay motivated and dont lose hopes. It is okay if you haven't prepared or started preparing for competitive examinations. As you mentioned that you hate studies and exams, I am assuming that you wouldn't opt to start off preparations for civil services or government examinations now. Before we dismiss these opinions, let me tell you; competitive examination demand a lot of hardwork. And if you are willing to put in the effort, in a matter of two years (at max, if you put your best foot forward) you will be able to get past it and settle down in life. But if those options are closed, then start from somewhere. Do not sit jobless. Apply for internships, and jobs, and simultaneously consider getting into teaching field.
Now a days, many mechanical engineers are found to be teaching Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at coaching institutions and bagging a good pay. In the era of increasing rush for entrance coaching, teaching is a good alternative.
If not at an institution, start with private tuitions and see if you enjoy teaching and being around youngsters. It could give you real pleasure and a sense of satisfaction, of earning an income.
Go ahead, and make up your mind...
If there is a will, there is a way, and you too will surely find yours.
Cheers!
