I'm complete my general training IELTS with 6.5 bands and now what I'm eligible for study in Canada with work
Hi there ,
Kudos on your score.
Apart from your IELTS score you also need a good academic background. Usually, the colleges accept a CGPA between 70-75%.
Other pre-requisites are listed below:
- A minimum of 16years of education which means 12+4, HSC plus 4 years of college.
- Some colleges also accept 12+3 years of education.it depends on a specific college.
- A minimum of 6.5 overall IELTS score
- A good GRE score is for engineering and science-specific courses. (check with the respective college, some accept without GRE score as well)
you could also additionally check the college requirements for more clarity regarding the educational qualifications.
Documents required
- Letter of recommendation (LOR )
- Statement of purpose (SOP), mostly 500 words.
- Transcripts
- Your test score report
Make sure to shortlist your colleges, check for the deadlines and apply accordingly. Ideally, colleges should be shortlisted 2 months before your standardized test schedule, as it syncs with the deadline.
Additionally, Canada accepts admissions thrice a year, or it has a fall session, winter, and summer.
- For the fall session admissions start by September
- Winter- starts from January
- Summers-April and May.
Also, do not restrict yourself and apply to only 2-3 colleges. Apply for admissions in more colleges as it will increase your chance for acceptance.
I hope this helps!
Thank you!
