I'm confused over the rank shown in opening and closing ranks, does the rank in a category, show the category rank or CRL?

As you have raised your doubt about what does the rank displayed in general opening and closing ranks...
Generally, those figures are nothing but the CRL but not the category ranks. So, don't get confused from now. The general ranking cutoffs are given for CRL in majority of cases.
