Hi Prajjawal,
No as per guidelines there is no need of gap certificate. The only thing that matters when you took a gap is how fruitfully you have utilized it. It's just you should be able to justify your gap period during the interview process. I would suggest you to prepare well in the gap year and get a good score so that you wold have multiple choices. Be prepared to justify the gap year.
All the Best
No nothing like a gap certificate is required. Utilize this gap to the optimum and get a high score in CAT to get admission in you dream college.
All the best!
No, you don't need any gap certificate if you are planning to take a one year drop after your graduation to prepare for CAT exam. You don't need to as such any documents for a year gap between your studies while applying/taking admission in any b-school. Only thing is you might be questioned during the second round of interview by the interviewee that why you actually took a drop when so many of the students prepare for CAT exam while working or while they are in their final year of graduation. And what actually you learnt along with the CAT preparation in this year. If you are able to answer these questions properly then there won't be as such any problem for your selection in respect for taking a year drop.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!
