Hi Manish

As your are expecting 80 percent in your 12th board which is really a good percentage. There are many engineering colleges available in India for which your are eligible. But I suggest you to give entrance exam for good govt colleges.Otherwise there are many renowned engineering colleges in which you we will get admission.

Thankyou

Hii Manish,

This is Shalini.

First of all congratulationsif you are expecting 80%in class 12th as its a very good score.

But let me clear you one thing, admissions in any IITS or NITS is based on your JEE Mains and JEE Advanced rank. The eligibility criteria for JEE Advance is that you have to score marks equal to or more than 75%.And for getting admission in any good private college you have to clear the entrance exam conducted by different colleges in different modes.

But as you expect 80% in 12th,hope you score a good rank in JEE Mains and JEE Advance.

Hope my answer will help you.

Thank you.

All the best!

Hi Manish,

I would like to inform you that class 12th marks just act as eligibility criteria for engineering for most of the colleges. I college you get mostly depends on the competitive exams which are held at different levels or by colleges for admission. These exams include JEE Mains, WBJEE, BITSAT, CUSAT and many more to name. All you need is to give these exams, and the ranking you get will decide which college is best among the all you can get.

Also your choice of field too plays an important role in selection of colleges.

I hope it helped you.

All the best. :)
