It depends on the branch of course that you want to choose. The minimum merit no. required for different branches of engineering is different.  So, i would like to suggest you to check the last year's cut off according to the branch that you want to choose. The authorities will consider various factors while determining the cutoff like difficulty of exam, number of applicants, availability of seats and previous year cutoff trends.
