Analyzing the previous year cut off for admission in NIT you do not have chances to get seat in NIT with the given rank. Last year the candidates belonging to SC category with rank raging from 1-15,000 ( Under home state and other state category) approximately secured seat in NITs in various disciplines. You will have decent chances to get seat in NITs( Under SC-Other state category) if you secure a rank in between 1-5000.
