Admission to Under Graduate Engineering Course in the colleges situated in Uttar Pradesh is based on merit in JEE Main. Earlier the admission was based on merit in UPSEEE but from this year UPSEEE had been scraped off and admission is based on merit in JEE Main. As there is no previous cut off data available it is quite to difficult to predict the chances of getting seat in Government Institute. However, the cut off for Government Institutes will be higher comparatively. It is expected to be above 95 percentile. So with 74 percentile you might not have decent chances of getting seat in Government Institute. This is predicted analysis. To know the cut off for Government Institutes you need to wait until the counselling is concluded. Cut off is determined based on factors such as total number of candidates applied for counselling, highest percentile score and total number of seats available etc.
