At the onset, let me tell you that, what you are facing is a very common problem. Every student in Std 12 and preparing for a competition faces the same problem.
There are 2 things you should do, right away-
[1] Analyse your goal and prioritise what you want and how much you want it. If your aim is to get into a good medical college and board scores won't affect you much. You can still manage to get a decent score ( 85 +/- 5% ).
[2] If your main aim is to get a better score in boards (this is common for people who are in doubts about giving NEET/ are unsure about their performance and want a surety of good result at least from 12th which might help them take admissions in Basic Science Courses) then you can afford to compromise on the Mcq solving aspect of NEET prep. Either way, the Ideal thing to do is to never segregate your studies depending on the exam you are appearing for. Make sure that when you read NCERT, you read it from an objective point of view. Every line is a potential MCQ in the exam.
More so clearing Boards isn't a herculean task if you know your concept well. It's more about presentation skills there.
I completely understand ur fears. But i tell u, u dont need to stress unnessesarily thinking about ur xams.Currently u need to concentrate on ur academic subjects and try to score a decent score in your board exms. The perks of concentrating on the study syllabus is that u will have a decent knowledge about the contents in your text book. This is of utmost importance as most of the entrance questions ,especially biology are directly from the NCERT text book.
So dont tense urself..u will surely do well in both ur xams.All.the very bst!!
Because you ought to be thorough with NCERT textbooks not just for your board exams but also for NEET entrance, since questions in biology and some questions in inorganic chemistry are generally asked from NCERT as such. If your grip on NCERT is good enough your basic phase of preparation is done.
For physics and topics on physical and organic chemistry, practice is the only key. How well you do in NEET entrance depends on how good your grip is on the concepts. At present, focus on your board exams because this is the last time you'll be appearing for class 12 boards and you do have a little time after you are done with your school level exams for brushing up your concepts, which is generally sufficient.
