im in 2nd year of Engineering of ECE branch .I want to quit Engineering and study agriculture b.sc .Can i write ICAR AIEEA exam ?
Dear Neha, ICAR AIEEA 2019 will be organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. It is a national level entrance exam which is conducted once in a year . It is organized by the name of All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA). The admission will be offered in the bachelor degree courses and master’s degree programmes offered by the various agricultural universities. Candidates must pass the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with PCM/PCB/PCMB/PCF subject combinations. General/OBC/UPS category candidates have to obtain 50% marks for and 40% for SC/ST/PC category candidates.
Because you want to discontinue your Engineering, your highest qualification will remain +2. If you have scored the minimum aggregate required, you are eligible to appear for ICAR AIEEA.
I think you should rethink. About the prospects and all. And then jump for the decision. Obviously you can give that exam and that's an easy exam to crack. But agriculture is not that good a field compared to electronics. So the answer is yes,you can give that exam but you should give a second thought before jumping into it.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck!
