I'm in 2nd year of medical school, can I apply for USMLE and if I will pass all 3 steps then what will happen next??
Hey with just step 1 and step 2 , you are eligible to apply for interviews and see if you could get any residency program of your choice, but its advisable to do electives and get LORs and also good research publications and strong personal statement, as this will have an impact in your resume and boost your chances, good luck
The most important eligibility criteria for USMLE for international aspirants is that they have to be either enrolled in a medical school or should have graduate of a medical school. For Step 1, you should be enrolled in or graduate of a medical school outside of the US and Canada, which is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. Aspirants should meet ECFMG certification eligibility criteria. And if you clear all the 3 steps, then you can opt for a career in research field or various residency categories.
