Indian Air Force determines the eligibility criteria of AFCAT 2020 for all candidates who want to appear in the exam. AFCAT 2020 eligibility criteria consist of various components like the required age limit, nationality, marital status and education qualification of the candidates appearing. Nationality
Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit
Candidates applying for Flying branch must age between 20 and 24 years while those applying for Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branch must age between 20 to 26 years of age.
Marital Status
Candidates below the age of 25 years must be unmarried during the time of commencement of the course. Candidates below 25 years who are widows, widowers, and divorcees are not eligible to apply. However, those candidates can apply who are more than 25 years and are married.
Education Qualification
Candidates must pertain certain education qualification to appear in AFCAT 2020. The table below contains the educational requirement of candidates as per the official notification.

Ground Duty (Technical)
10+2: minimum 60% in Physics and Maths
Graduation: minimum 4 years degree graduation/ integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University
or
Cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India)/ Aeronautical Society of India/ Graduate membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with minimum 60%
Ground Duty (Non-Technical)
Administration and Logistics: Graduate degree (any) with minimum 60% or equivalent
or
Clear section A and B examination of Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India)/Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Accounts: B.Com degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60%.
