Aisa hain ki OBC central list ek hoti hain jo all India central universities, IITs, NITs main consider hoti  hain. aur ek list hoti hain state waali. Isme aapki category hain ke nahin. Agar nahin toh aap Gujarat main open main hi consider honge. Agar aap list main ho toh category certificate must be made from District Collector, Deputy Collector, Assistant Collector, Social Welfare Officer/District Development Officer/Dy. District Development Officer/Taluka Development Officer, Mamlatdar.

Students having income more than 8 L are considered OBC but they come under creamy layer so they dont get such relaxation in cut offs and in number of seats so I would suggest you to check whether you fulfil this criteria or not and accordingly you can apply for the caste certificate.

Also, if you want to get it done for any state entrance like GUJCET then you will have to approach local Tehsildar or related local bodies and in case you are talking about national level exam like Jee then the format is given below -
