Hi Balu,

Since you said you like making both electronic model items and also mechanical works, so you may consider giving entrance exams and opt for engineering, though doing engineering has a value only if it is done from a good college. Since you like both, I will try to make your path clear. ECE is a good branch with a lot of scope in private sector companies. But to survive in that you need to be really skillfull and need to keep yourself updated. On the other hand, if you choose mechanical then there is a lot of scope in government sector in India.

So, if you can't decide which thing you like more, then decide from the scope and future prospects.

You can choose any branch according to your interest. Both ECE and Mechanical branch has good scope in the future. If we compare these two branches then ECE is to most demanding branch among students.

ECE has good scope in the future with lots of job options and Mechanical engineering is Evergreen branch. Choosing a course also depends in the college you are opting for.

You should try to get admission in top colleges and you can also choose the branch accordingly and rest also depends on your interest.

Good Luck!!
