Hello Rahul,

For MBA, you can opt for operation specialisation or in any technology related sector. It is good to be an average student, as that implies, one can mould to different situations easily. While pursuing MBA, theoretical knowledge is not enough, and this becomes a plus point for average students as MBA focusses on practical implications.

If you are planning to go for MBA, then you must give CAT exam. CAT is a national level test, especialli for getting admission into IIMs. Besides IIMs, there are various top ranked B-schools that accept CAT score in their eligibility criteria. Apart from CAT, you can write entrance tests like XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, NMAT, GMAT, SNAP,IIFT, other state level CETs. XAT is an entarnce test for Xavier's B-school, while NMAT is for Narsee Monji Institute. Various other entrance tests are held by different private B-schools, although they accept the scores of CAT.

For more information on MBA related exams, their application and exam dates, please do visit the below mentioned website:

Now if you think you are not good in academics,  just find the reason why?  Maybe you did not like the course.  May be the faculty was not good,  maybe you were being lazy,  may be the Institute was not good enough. I will suggest you to find that reason and don't repeat it for your mba.  If you are interested and passionate about being a leader you will find a way to beat academics. You have to!  MBA academic curriculum is tough and will make you grind throughout two years. So take decisions wisely!  Hopefully I was able to help you. If any further queries,  comment below.
