I'm planning to join SAP MM course in Pune, does it has scope in 2019 will I get job if I have no experience in mechanical engineer sector?
Hello Rahul,
There are many business projects in SAP, temed as "modules" and Materials Management (MM) is a part of Logistics area that helps to manage the procurement activity and inventory management activity of an organization . MM module is highly used in most of the SAP projects , simply because material is one of the basic and primary requirement of most of the businesses using SAP.
There is a huge demand across the globe for SAP MM consultants. But in this field experience plays a major role in job sector. It is important that you focus much on your training part and is advisable to get training under senior consultants who have varied exposure from many industries. Also SAP Training academies in Pune have been reviewed as finest centers in the country.
Another factor to be taken into consideration in this field is the number of modules a student opts for. knowledge and expertise in only one module won't take you much ahead in the industry at an accelerated pace. You can try to expand your knowledge in some more functional modules like SD, QM or technical ones like Basis, ABAP etc, in order to enhance your market value. SAP MM along with SD is highly valuable to get consideration for a good position but experience does counts as a core criteria to help you reach at higher positions.
Technical and functional consultants are among the highest paid in SAP industry and so MM is having a very good scope in future in India as well as Abroad. MM will still be one of the primary and core modules. Few companies that offer good position to SAP consultants are:
- TATA Consultancy Services
- IBM Technologies
- Mahindra Systems
- Siemens Information Systems
- HCL Technologies
- HP-India
- Capegemini
- Deloitte
- SAPLabs
-
Accenture India ... and many more.
Hope the above information will be helpful.
All the best!
Good luck :)
