You can do confirmation solely after tenth qualifying test as well as twelfth board test .If you're currently in eleventh and to do recognition . You can do diploma only after 10th qualifying exam and/or 12th board exam .If you're now in 11th and to do  diploma . Then I would suggest you to complete your 12th and prepare for diploma entrance exams .(For Engineering) . You can also pursue B.Tech after 12th . But , after 10th , you will have no option for graduation until you complete your diploma .

The eligibility criteria for diploma is that any candidate after passing 10th or 12th standard is eligible to study diploma.
You can do diploma in any stream of your interest and get a job as well after the completion of the course.
