hi sarika, its very good that you are thinking about this now itself , when you are in 11th. i would appreciate that. its not a big deal to apply for the exam. just read the prospectus and apply once the notification is out on 2019. i would tell you how to prepare for the exam though.

Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too

Biology-aiims doesnt cover most part from ncert like how neet does, in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can

General knowledge and current affairs- read newspapers regularly, keep yourself updated always, use year books, they ll help you alot.

hope this helps, ping me if you have any more queries, happy to help, good luck

Hello Sarika,

As you said you are in class 11th,so you will be attempting 2019 entrance.. which is around1 yr and 4  months from now...so you have to make your own study plan and follow it properly with dedication and PATIENCE....you have to devote most of time say 80 % in AIIMS preparation and 20 % in board exam preparation

Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as these books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.

BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhD so dont go by all books mentioned here and there

KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books

Biology -

Truemans Biology Vol. 1 & 2

Objective Biology by Dinesh

Pradeep Publications Biology

Physics -

Concept of physics by H C Verma

Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep

Objective physics by DC Pandey

Chemistry -

Arihant Organic Chemistry

Dinesh Chemistry Inorganic

Physical Chemistry by O P Tandon

Objective NCERT at your fingertips Chemistry by MTG

Hello Sarika,

Elagibility criteria.

The minimum aggregate of the marks to be secured by candidates at 10+2 in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology is 60% for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST/OPH category candidates.

I can tell you my tips like read NCERT thoroughly and then revise it for a thousand times more and solve MCQs plus previous years questions, give lots and lots of mock exams and so on. But since for your best what I can best recommend you is to go on YouTube and see some videos.

Look it's not the more and more to read that works but to read to the point and to be able to recall it in exams without a single dot of confusion so here is the advice read every single word of NCERT plus when you solve MCQs you will notice some of the problems are not from NCERT then read those topics from any other book ( your coaching modules or pardeep or anything ) what's matters is that you should be able to solve MCQs correctly without confusion.
