i'm studying 12th standard and i want to get into biotechnology i have not taken mathematics bridge course exam
Hii
If you wish to pursue your higher studies in Biotechnology, you have two options one is to go for B.Tech biotechnology and the other is BSc in Biotechnology.
For BTech biotechnology you will require physics, chemistry, maths and biology at 10+2 level( 12th class)
Now that you have not studied maths, you can not opt btech biotechnology. So you are left with BSc biotechnology.
for this you require physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology in class 12th with minumum 50% aggregate.
BSc biotechnology is a 3 year undergraduate course and has not much difference than BTech Biotechnology. The only difference is that in Btech both engineering as well as the science part are focused while in BSc, the technology part is not given much focus. rest the syllabus would not vary much.
For BSc biotechnology, many universities provide direct admission while others conduct their own entrance exam.
After your BSc, you can go for MSc in biotechnology and if you are interested in the engineering itself, then you can go for M.Tech in biotechnology after your MSc. Without MSc, Mtech will not be possible as you will not be having BTech. or if interested in research, you can directly go for Mphil or PhD and become a research scientist.
Hope this helps
