NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is the national level entrance test in India for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses in selected National Institutes of Technology (NITs), University of Hyderabad (UoH), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) and in Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU).A total of 10 NITs offer MCA and take admission based on NIMCET rank, including NIT Agartala, NIT Allahabad, NIT Bhopal, NIT Calicut, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Raipur, NIT Surathkal, NIT Tiruchirappalli and NIT Warangal.A total of about 800 seats are offered by all NITs.

Eligibility For NIMCET:

Indian Nationals having minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale(55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in case of SC, ST) in BSc / BSc(Hons)/ BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects or
BE / BTech or equivalent from a recognised university are eligble to appear for NIMCET 2019.
