After completing BE course you can give several examinations like GATE, ESE, CSE, several PSUs. And you can also opt for in campus and off campus placements. Every state also offers employment to engineers. You can also give the state level examination for state government jobs.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the best branches in Core Engineering. You can easily get placement with good package if you study well and maintain a good CGPA through out 8 semester of your college.

You have three ways to get Job after your degree completion

1. Through Campus Placement
2. Through Off Campus Placement/ Walk-in Interviews
3. Through Exams like UPSC/GATE/ESE etc.

Try to Maintain a CGPA of 8 or above and build good concept of core subjects. Good Knowledge of Core Subject can land you a job in Core Mechanical Company like TATA Motors, L&T etc.

If you want to go in IT sector for Jobs then learn two programming languages (Like C++ and Java) along with Data Structures and Algorithms.  Good knowledge of these will easily land you a job in most of the IT Companies.

You can get job in PSUs like ONGC, BPCL, IOCL by giving and scoring GOOD in GATE exam. You can try for civil services UPSC if you want to be a IAS/IPS/IFS officer.
