These are the steps you will have to follow if you want to study abroad after class 12:
1. Most of the universities and colleges take up applications by october-november of the preceding academic year. This means if you are planning to take admission in 2021, you should send in your applications by 2020.
2. You should prepare for exams like the SATs or the ACTs. Since you are already in class 11, you should work more hard. Solve mock tests and practice question papers. These subjects are important as most of the universities take applicants based on their performance in these exams.
3. TOEFL and IELTS are english language tests. You might need to crack them as they are the qualifications for many countries.
4. Study hard for class 11 and 12. The marks you score in high school also play an important role. If you aim for a particular subject, say medicine, your marks in PCB will be very important. If design is your forte, you should be good at the related subjects.
5. Your application will matter very much, so take guidance in how to write a good application form.
6. Check the universities that offer scholarships, as studying abroad can be very expensive.
