I'm studying in class 12. I want to opt for indian navy.. What should i do and in which subjects i should focus?
Presently the women are inducted into the following 6 branches of the Navy as Officers through women entries: ATC, Observer, Law, Logistics, Education and Naval Architecture.

Women can join any of the 6 branches of the Navy as follows:
Naval Architecture: Naval architecture is an engineering discipline dealing with the engineering design process, shipbuilding, maintenance, and operation of marine vessels and structures. One can apply for it through UES or as per the latest notification.
Eligibility: An engineering graduate aged between 19 25 is eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification: The candidates must possess at least 60% marks in BE/B. Tech Degree in any one of the following stream: Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, Metallurgy and Naval Architecture
Observer: Indian Navy needs observers who act as airborne coordinators of maritime warfare. Observer officer operates various state of the art equipment including sonics, radars, sonars and communication equipment. As an airborne technician, you will be flying on board, Naval aircraft of the Indian Navy.
Eligibility: An engineering graduate aged between 19 24 is eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech degree in any discipline with Physics & Maths in 12th standard.
Education:
Eligibility: Candidate aged between 21 25 is eligible to apply with the following educational qualifications.

A second-class Masters degree from a recognised university in Physics or Mathematics. Candidates possessing Masters degree in physics should have studied Mathematics at least at the subsidiary level at the degree standard and those possessing masters degree in Mathematics should have studied Physics at least at the subsidiary level at degree standard.
A second-class Masters degree from a recognised university in Chemistry or English. Candidates possessing Masters degree in chemistry should have studies Physics at least at the subsidiary level at the degree standard and those possessing Masters degree in English should have studied Physics or Mathematics up to the intermediate or equivalent standard.
An engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or engineering in Computer Science/Technology.
A second-class Masters degree from a recognised university in computer application or computer science. Candidate should have studied either Physics or Mathematics at their graduation level.
A post-graduate degree from a recognised university in Humanities (Economics/History/ Political Science).
Logistics /Works:
Eligibility: Candidates aged between 19-25 with any of the following educational qualification.
Educational Qualification:

BE/B Tech in any discipline with 1st class
MBA with 1st class
B Sc/B Com/B Sc(IT) with 1st class and PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Mgt/Material Mgt
MCA/M Sc(IT) with 1st class
For Works
BE/B Tech(Civil)/B Architect
For Catering
M Sc(HM)/MBA(HM)/B Sc or BA with 1st class and PG Diploma in HM
Law:
Eligibility: Candidates aged between 22-27 are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess a degree in Law qualifying them for enrolment as advocates under the Advocates Act, 1961.
ATC:
Eligibility: Candidates aged between 19-25 are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech degree in any discipline with Physics & Maths in 12th standard.

NDA/NA (National Defence Academy/ Naval Academy)
NDA/NA exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year. All candidates who are interested in joining Indian Army, Navy or Air Force, can appear for NDA examination. NDA exam is known as the best way to join the Indian defence forces as an officer.
NDA exam eligibility criteria
Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board in India. The students appearing for 10+2 can also apply
Candidate must have studied Mathematics and Physics in 10+2
Candidate must be unmarried
Candidates must be physically fit

TES Entry (Technical Entry Scheme) (Navy)
Applications are invited from UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) to join the prestigious Indian Navy
Eligibilty-
Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) (for B.E./ B.Tech) exam.
Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) - 2018 All India Rank.
Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM-Passing in each subject mandatory) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
Type of Commission: Permanent Commission
Training- Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four year degree course in engineering.
CDSE Entry (Combined Defence Services Examination)
CDS (Combined Defense Services) is the common entrance exam to recruit unmarried male and female (including widows and divorcees who haven’t remarried) candidates in all the three spheres of the Indian defence services, i.e. Indian Military, Navy, and Air Force. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is responsibility to conduct the CDS exam at all India level.
The CDS Exam is held twice in a year in February and November for which the official notification is published in November and August respectively.
Eligibilty :-
Candidates applying for CDSE must be citizen of India
Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan and Tibetan refugee,Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam are also eligible but only after subject to fulfilment eligibility criteria as the rule of Government of India.
Candidate must be a graduate from a recognised university
Candidates must be physically fit
Candidate must be unmarried
