I'm studying in M.Sc chemistry 1st yr I want to clear gate exam how can I start to prepare?
To appear for the GATE exam you need to know the entire thing first. It is Graduate Aptitude Test which tests aptitude basically thus increasing the level of understanding-logic-solving and related. Then comes the syllabus part. Know it completely. Try to list out the important chapters according to their weight age and plan your schedule accordingly. You need to clear your concepts completely and solve-solve-solve .. all the time. Practicing maximum number of MCQs will only help you understand the question level-pattern, the applications of the formulae and what logic to apply where... all this.
Make notes and revise them regularly. Try to make a separate book for formulae.. this will help you till the end and also during revision.
Practice last years question papers- this will be highly beneficial thus providing a fair idea of the question-concepts-level-type-pattern in all.
Self study is a must. The more you do.. the more you'll explore and know where you stand in your preparation.
Lastly.. I would say.. don't stress yourself at any point in your preparation. Stay determined and stay focused. Enjoy your studies.. don't take it as stress.
Hope you're getting my point.
All the Bestt.!!!
