Hi aspirant

If you are any category(SC/ST/OBC) your caste certificate is only valid in your home state or you can say that the state which have issued you the certificate. But if you are applying for any other state entrance you are a GENERAL candidate for the other state.

If Karnataka govt. accepts the caste certificate of other state then you can apply for SC merit otherwise not.

But none of the state accpets caste certificate of other state. It means you will have to apply for GENERAL merit.

If by chance you apply for SC merit ,at the time of counselling and document verification ,they might reject you because you will not have caste certificate issued by Karnataka.

So its better avoid all incoming future problems and apply for GENERAL.

Hope you understood the terms .
