I'm weak in physics and chemistry but good in maths interested to do BTECH which course would be best
Hii Madhuri ,
A good level of maths and physics both will be required as these subjects form the basis of many engineering courses. Basics and advanced calculus, statistics, linear algebra are just a few of the major topics in mathematics that you need to study thoroughly. For physics, I can definitely say that the entrance exams require you to prepare for it but in the later stage if you are not targeting interdisciplinary work then you may not require a very deep knowledge of Physics. A basic knowledge of Physics is still strongly recommended. A good knowledge of engineering level mathematics in Computer science plays a major role. It not only refines your logic but also helps you to understand complex algorithms faster. If you are looking to work in the theoretical side of CS in the future, you should have an even stronger hold on it.
So, Yes, you should be good at physics and maths to be a good Computer Science engineer.
The good thing about Physics and Mathematics is that you can get better at it with practice and perseverance, like all other things in life.
A higher structure needs a deeper base as well to remain stable. Wanna make a guess how I know this? Physics and Mathematics.
So don’t think and dive right in those Mathematics and Physics books if you want to be a great engineer.
I hope that helps! All the Best !
You should look at Pure Math courses before you opt for B.Tech as every engineering course will have some physics or chemistry along with mathematics. there is no course in engineering based just on mathematics.
But if you are aiming for a B.tech degree only, go for Computer Science, Information technology or Industrial engineering, Textile engineering, BioTech etc , as they do have some physics and chemistry but not as heavy as mechanical, electronics, electrical or chemical engineering.
Hello aspirant.
As you are not interested in physics and chemistry and good in mathematics you can choose computer science in Bachelor of technology. As you are good in mathematics you can choose computer science. In computer science some basic of mathematics is required.
All the best.
