I'm week in physics how can I pass the exam
hi pintu, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare
physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too, good luck
Physics is a very difficult subject but easy to master if you work hard.
First of all, stop thinking you are weak. Work hard and master it.
Physics is all about concepts and applying the same to munericals.
1. Understand the concept, don't just memorize the formula. Read the concept from NCERT and other reference books.
2. After understanding the concept and its conditions & situations, try a few simple numericals.
3. Once you get the hang of the simple ones, move on to more complicated ones given in reference books.
4. After solving all these, solve MCQs and time yourself so that you know how much time you take and if you need to speed up.
5. Keep revising all the concepts amd numericals.
Following these steps will certainly improve your physics and your confidence.
All the best!
Hope this helps.
Study hard, keep doing numericals and focus on concepts.
Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.
Try to clock 100 hours a week.
Maintain your health
Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.
Form a study group, discuss with friends
Stay motivated.
No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.
Donot waste time, invest time.
Revisions are the most important
It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.
The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,
For biology, refer the following.
1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2
2) Dinesh- Objective biology
3) Pradeep publication Biology
4) GRB'S Publication Biology.
For Physics refer to he following books.
1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.
2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.
3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker
4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov
For chemistry you can refer the following books
1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry
2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry
3) Modern ABC's of chemistry
4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry
5) Dinesh
Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.
In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts
Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck!
Goodluck
Hi Pintughadai
Never feel down for your weekness. Work hard untill your weekess becomes your strength.
Remember the Famous saying, "Rome was not build in a day". Work Continously and passionately with full dedication.
Here are the way how you can start studying smartly for Physics
- Introspect yourself :- make a checklist that what you know already and what you have to know for the NEET. Go through the syllabus once and check your level, that from where you have to start.
- Plan the Journey :- After Introspecting, Start from the very basic and plan out the journey for the whole syllabus a set some deadline for yourself so that you can progress in a pre defined manner.
- Never Give Up :- It is the golden rule to achieve the goal. Build up yourself and your confidence not to give up even in the hardest situation. THink positive, talk to positive people, ask queries, make mistakes and learn from all these things. Stand by your decision and motivate yourself time to time.
Here are Some GOLDEN tips for the preparation of NEET
- Firstly, gather all the details about the officially prescribed syllabus for the examination.
- Make a proper time-table for your preparations.
- Follow the time table strictly and increase your potential day by day.
- Consider the good preparation books and study materials.
- Practice mock test & previous year question papers.
- Make mistakes while practising, and correct them and never repeat them.
- Never give up even at your low time.
- Stay stress free & healthy while preparing for exams.
- Don’t try to include new topics at the end of preparations.
All the best
Dear aspirant
I donot know about other and neither i boost or just saying it my own personal experience
During first few months of class 11th seriously saying i deveoped a fear regarding pysics phyaics phobia
I use to skip test held my coaching Institute i use to skip classes.but one day i realised what i m doing it was my decision to take mbbs then why i am running from the situation then i sat back analysed whole situation and decided not to further run from physics and challenged myself and started from page 1 of ncert along with pradeep fundamentals of physics read aolved every page along with hc verma
And took every test at my coaching Institute
Practice previous year take a lot of mock test
And Finally 145 out of 180 in physics on 7th june 2014
I was neither happy nor sad but yess had a satisfaction yes i did i overcame my fear
But yess i would thank my personal guide and teacher mr tarun Aggarwal who helped me to achive my goals
If there are conceptual flaws or lack of proper understanding of the concepts, I'd recommend you to take help of some mentor who can guide you well. You might have joined coaching institution for the same. Make sure you get all your doubts clarified by your mentor, even the seemingly silly ones.
Once a concept has been taught, evaluate yourself. How well you have understood the concepts will depend on how well you're able to tackle a question put in front of you.
For practicing MCQs and concept based problems, you can follow books like H.C.VERMA for physics volume 1&2. It is a very good book with graded level of questions that bring a bend of logic to your approach towards a particular question. Universal self-scorer for physics is another very good book that can be considered.
If your coaching institution provides you study materials, solve them first because these materials are framed after careful evaluation of the trends of questions that have been asked lately.
Also, attend all the institution level examinations regularly regardless of how you're performing. This will help you manage your time as well as identifying the weaker areas of physics, so that you can work on them accordingly.
Once you have made a mistake in the examination, carefully evaluate where you went wrong and never repeat that mistake again.
Practice on a regular basis. You will notice a difference with time.
The preparation for physics has to be started at a very early age like in class 11 or at the extreme beginning of you repeat year when you are starting your preparations for the Neet next year.
Physics, especially electromagnetism, current electricity is static electricity, modern physics and mechanics along with some concepts of optics required in depth knowledge analogical understanding of the subject for you to be able to crack the MCQs on the spot.
Of course A conceptual book like SL Arora, HC Verma or the different modalities of NCERT could be of help to you in your early days.
Study materials provided by Aakash or Allen also deal with the same aspects so they might also be of help.
Initial days I would recommend you to make notes of the various formula across the various chapters and if possible logically understand how they are being applied in the different problems which are the basis of MCQ questions from those chapters.
After you are a bit well versed with the formula, it would be wise to start practicing MCQs on a daily basis, say around 1 hour if you are weak in physics as you are saying. It would be wise to gradually escalate that time to a couple of hours even 3 hours if it suits your brain. Complete physics before you start preparing for Chemistry or biology on a full time basis in your preparations schedule.
During examination, try to complete your chemistry and Biology within one and half hour and dedicate the rest of the time to Physics taking your time to solve is many questions correctly as you can leaving Behind Those which you cannot answer.
Even when you are giving mock examinations, try to follow the same pattern so that you can make out whether your weakness is being strengthened or you need to dedicate more time and effort to physics.
Hope this helps, thank you
If you are unable to do well in Physics only that means you are lacking in practice in numericals and conceptual part related to the same in Physics or it may be happening because your concepts are not clear so I would suggest you to devote maximum time of yours in practice. Apart from this, you can go through the below tips - Know the syllabus - The first thing which you need to know is the complete syllabus and accordingly prepare. Important topics- Physics – Optics, Mechanics, Nuclear Physics, Thermodynamics, Chemistry – General Organic Chemistry, Mole Concept, Periodic Table, Coordination Chemistry, Chemical Bonding. Biology – Genetics, Ecology Environment, Cell Biology, Morphology, Basics of Biotechnology, Reproduction, Physiology of Animals Plants. Good Study Material - The most important element to prepare for any exam is good study materials as better to choose the standard preparation material. Create a time table as per your schedule - Get a calendar and a diary, set your priorities, set out long study hours. Take care of your health. Don’t sleep during study time. Practice NEET sample papers and previous year’s question paper - All NEET aspirants should do practice on sample and previous years papers as these would be helping them to know the important questions. Prepare notes - The best way to improve memory skills is to prepare notes while studying. Candidates should write down all the important notes in a copy or diary which can be useful for revision before the examination and save a lot of time for them. Online mocks - It would be better if you complete your syllabus till December and keep Jan-Feb for your sample papers and previous year papers and once you are done with these, start doing online mocks because these will be showing you all your weak areas along with actual paper pattern and accordingly you can practice again and this will also teach you time management skill during exam.
Apart from all these, better to be confident and do not cram.
Books which you can refer - Biology: NCERT Biology of Class XI and XII, Trueman's Biology Vol 1 and 2,Objective Biology by Dinesh, Pradeep Publication's Biology, GRB Bathla's Publication's for Biology.
