I'm working for a private Bank for past 4yrs now, as Deputy Manager. What kinda MBA will work for me to become an Investment Banker.?
Hiii
For becoming an investment banker, I will say MBA in finance and investment banking will be suitable for you. Or else simply MBA in investment banking will also work.
For getting admission to MBA course you will require to appear in an entrance exam like CAT or GATE etc depending on the college you are planning to get admission to.
Incase of more doubts feel free to putup your query.
Thansk!
Heyyy ShivaShankar....
You can do either MBA or the financial mathematics course provided by various institutions, which will aid you in becoming an investment banker. On an average , it can take two or more years of working experience plus a graduate degree to advance to associate status at an investment bank.
Hi,
I thibnk you should look out to writing CAT next year. You can either opt for 1 year executive management programmes from the top B schools in India - the IIMs. This course is also called the EPGP programme. In this you should take your major electives in Finance and the placements at the end of the programme will be taken care by the placement committe where you will have high chance of getting placed in IBs.
Alternatively you can do MBA from the top 20 B Schools. Infact with such high work experience I suggest you to try for one of the top 6 IIMs only. Then again take major electives in Finance.
All the best
