NCERT books are the best books to start your preparations for IAS. Most of the syllabus for IAS exam are taken from school textbooks that are written in a very simple manner since, these are Govt publications. For the preparation you can prefer NCERT books & you can also prefer Yojana & Manorama Magzines, It will help you for the exam preparation.
