The best way to cover the Medieval Indian History for the exam is to read it from the NCERT History books.

You can get factual and analytical type questions.

The questions can be asked related to kings that ruled the country, their policies and administrative systems, the society and the economic system, and other important points related to the empires of Medieval India.

Also questions are asked related to the religious movements of the Medieval Indian period.

You can be asked about:

  • Indus Valley Civilisation.
  • Sultanate period Society-Culture, Art and Architecture (what new things were brought by Islamic rulers).
  • Bhakti Ideology and Sufi Ideology - development and evolution.
  • Rule of Ajatasatru, son of Bimbisara, king of Magadha.
  • Rule of Nandas of Magadha
  • Imperial cholas of Tanjor
  • Reign of Empress Raziya, daughter of Iltutmish, the first and last woman ruler of Medieval India.
  • Reign of Sayyid dynasty etc.

NCERT is the best way to excel this part of the preparation.

Good Luck.
