Hi Aayush,

Chemistry

1. Inorganic Chemistry

Inorganic Chemistry carries a weightage of 34 %. Among all the units, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure carries the maximum weightage of 29.4%. All the major important topics are covered in this section. It is then followed by Co-ordination compounds from which nearly 17.6% of the question were asked on average from this unit.

2. Organic Chemistry

Organic Chemistry carries the maximum weightage of 35.6%. From this, nearly 30  % (assuming total 100%) of the questions from previous year paper were fromOrganic compounds containing Oxygen.  Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry is the second most important chapter and thus carries a weightage of 24.4%.

3. Physical Chemistry

This unit was given high importance in NEET 2017 exam. Accordingly, this unit carries 30.4% weightage.(Assuming total 100%) Among all, States of Matter and Solutions (24.1%) is the most important of all followed by Equilibrium (18.2%).  Rest of the questions were asked from the different chapter covering Chemical Kinetics and Nuclear Chemistry (14.6%), Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry (13.1%) and others.

Physics

last year trend was

Unit Number of Questions Total Marks Weightage Percentage
Electrodynamics 10 40 22.22%
Heat & Thermodynamics 5 20 11.11%
Mechanics 13 52 28.89%
Modern Physics 3 12 6.67%
Optics 5 20 11.11%
SHM & Waves 4 16 8.89%

BIOLOGY

All chapters are important. try to stick to NCERT.

All the Best

In chemistry all blocks ,states of Matter ,thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, periodic table, biomolecules, chemistry in everyday life
In biology all topics are important

See paper is for 720 and you are asking that u need to get more than 600 so follow simple rule EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT.

If u prepare only important ones u may not achieve your target because while writing the examination still deep down inside your subconscious mind u might be thinking still I am unprepared so that shouldn't happen or else it may lead to hurdle in clearing your paper. Before exam u should be in such a way that I have prepared everything and I am confident enough to give the exam.

You want to score 600+ and you want to know important topics

Sorry but i think i would have to give a never ending list for this .

When you study and do mcq, you can understand what is more important in chapter but as such you cannot get a list of important topics.

I would suggest that once you read a chapter , please do mcq then you would be able to understand where to give stress on.

All the very best

Hi Aayush!

In order to achieve successful results in NEET, there are no shortcuts. Also the questions can come from any aspect of the vast syllabus prescribed, so studying only important topics is going to prove detrimental for you.

- As per the analysis I have done during my NEET preparation, the most important (OR) frequently asked topics from the following chapters or units are:

A) PHYSICS:
1) GRADE 11: Kinematics(including rotational motion)/Dynamics/Properties of Bulk Matter/Oscillations and Waves
2) GRADE 12: Electricity/Magnetism/Optics/Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation

B) CHEMISTRY: Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure(GRADE 11)/States of Matter(GRADE 11 & 12)/Thermodynamics(GRADE 11)/Equilibrium(GRADE 11)/Organic Chemistry(GRADE 11 & 12)/s and p Block Elements(GRADE 11 & 12)/Electrochemistry(GRADE 12)

C) BIOLOGY:
1) GRADE 11: Plant Kingdom/Animal Kingdom/Cell Structure and Function/Photosynthesis/Respiration in Plants/Human Physiology
2) GRADE 12: Plant and Human Reproduction/Genetics and Evolution/Biotechnology

Please note that questions are asked from topics not mentioned here and you must try to do all the chapters.

Hope this answers your question!
