Dear Aspirant,
Yes you can apply as OBC candidate in the GATE exam however you must be OBC-NCL in the national list of OBCs. There are two OBC certificate, one is from the central government and one is from state government. If you are OBC in the central government list then you can get a national OBC certificate and apply for the GATE as OBC.
