Correct Answer: Ahmedabad

Solution : Correct Answer is Ahmedabad

Following his victory in Champaran, Gandhi Ji stepped in to mediate a conflict between cotton mill employees and owners in Ahmedabad. The point of disagreement was the plague bonus, which owners sought to eliminate but workers demanded. Along with it, workers demanded a 50% wage increase. The employees then approached Anusuya Sarabhai, who went to Gandhi and requested action. The dispute was eventually settled when Gandhiji encouraged employees to drop their demand to 35%, advised workers to stay nonviolent, and went on his first hunger strike in India. In the end, the tribunal awarded workers a 35% wage increase.
